CopyHero

Set up CopyHero with the assistant

Follow the guided first-run setup: start your trial, build your first workflow, and see a product transformed.

On your first visit, CopyHero opens CopyHero Setup — a guided conversation with the CopyHero assistant. It builds your first product-import pipeline with you and runs it on a real product, so you see the transformation before you touch the rest of the app.

The progress bar on the left always shows where you are. Your progress is saved: if you leave and come back later, the assistant continues where you left off.

What the setup walks you through

  1. Free trial. The assistant shows a trial card with the plan and price. Select Start free trial to enter payment details on the secure billing page; you are not billed today and can cancel anytime during the trial. You return to the setup automatically. The trial is required to continue. If the plan on the card has no trial period, the card says Subscribe instead and billing starts right away — the card always tells you which of the two it is.
  2. Your store. Enter your store's web address so CopyHero can detect your language and currency, or choose I don't have a store yet and tell the assistant both values instead.
  3. Basics. The assistant explains the two words you will see everywhere: a task is one step of your listing process, and a workflow is your tasks chained in order, run per product.
  4. A practice product. Paste a Shopify or AliExpress product link — the address of the product page itself — or choose No URL — use a demo product. If you pasted a link earlier in the chat, even before starting the trial, the assistant uses it without asking again. A Shopify link is imported together with your first run, so the product lands in your library already processed. AliExpress is slow to fetch from and takes several minutes, so it is fetched in the background from the moment your trial is active, while you set up your store and build your tasks. If it is not ready within the wait the assistant tells you about, or the fetch fails, the setup carries on with the demo product and says so; your AliExpress product still arrives in your library, ready to run through your workflow. Short AliExpress links and category pages cannot be fetched: open the product on AliExpress and paste the address of that page.
  5. Build. Together you create four starter tasks — build a structured description, translate to your store language, convert prices to your store currency, and write a product title — and chain them into your first workflow. You can ask questions at any point.
  6. First run. The workflow runs on your practice product, one task at a time, and the assistant shows you the before and after side by side when it finishes. If a task you edited could write the wrong thing into a field, the assistant tells you before it runs.
  7. Make it better. Not happy with the result? Ask the assistant to change a task (for example the title wording) and run again. It starts again from the product as it was before the first run, so nothing is processed twice. You can also run the workflow on one more product: a Shopify product link runs right away, and an AliExpress link is fetched in the background and lands in your library. The setup allows three runs in all, and the assistant says when they are used up. For more, open your products, select one, and choose Start Workflow (this needs a connected Shopify store).
  8. Done. The assistant shows you where your tasks, workflow, and product live in the app, how to import your next product, and where your subscription and help are. Select Start the tour for a short guided tour of the app (see below), or Connect your Shopify store to connect a destination store as your next step.

The guided tour

Start the tour begins a five-step walkthrough on the dashboard: a welcome, where your credits show, the sidebar, where your stores appear, and the assistant. Every step has Next, Back and Skip, so you can leave whenever you like; Ask ends the tour and opens the assistant if you would rather ask a question.

The tour is not part of setup and nothing depends on finishing it.

After the setup

Everything you built is yours to keep and edit: the four tasks appear under Tasks, the workflow under Workflows, and the practice product in your Product Library. Editing a task changes your workflow from its next run on; finished products do not change.

Your workflow becomes your import default. When the setup ends, your workflow, My import workflow, is set as the workflow of your default import profile, so Import to Shopify and Start Workflow preselect it. An import started with the workflow selected runs it, which uses credits; choose Skip Workflow to import without it. If your default import profile already had a workflow of your own, it is left alone, and you choose My import workflow yourself in the Start Workflow step. Change the default under Settings → Import profiles.

The setup does not connect your store. It only reads your store's language and currency from the address you gave. To import to Shopify you still connect your store once. Then follow your first product run.

Subscription and cancelling are under Settings → Subscription; see cancel your subscription or delete your account.

If the setup seems stuck

The setup runs to the end — there is no way to leave it early. When a step looks like it is waiting on you and no buttons are offered, type your answer in the message box at the bottom. The assistant reads plain text at every step, so a short "keep going" moves the setup forward.
