# Configure outbound webhooks

> Send supported CopyHero events to an external HTTPS endpoint.

Canonical URL: https://www.copyhero.app/help/integrations/outbound-webhooks

Outbound webhooks send supported CopyHero events to the endpoint you configure in **Settings → Webhooks**.

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

Have an HTTPS endpoint you control and a safe way to validate incoming requests.

The endpoint must be reachable at a public internet address. CopyHero does not send to private, local, or internal network addresses, such as `localhost` or `192.168.1.10`. An IP address like that is rejected when you save. A host name is checked each time an event is sent, and a delivery to a host name that points to such an address fails.

CopyHero does not follow redirects. The endpoint must answer the request itself with a `2xx` status. A redirect counts as a failed delivery and is not retried.

## Steps [#steps]

1. Open **Settings → Webhooks**.
2. Select the **Outbound** tab.
3. Select **New Webhook**.
4. Enter the name, endpoint, event choices, and available filters.
5. Save, then test using non-sensitive data where possible.

## Options [#options]

Outbound configuration may offer event selection and store or workflow filters. Use filters to limit deliveries deliberately.

The signing secret is optional. When you edit a webhook, that field starts empty. Save it empty to keep the current secret, and enter a new value only when you want to replace it.

## Expected result [#expected-result]

CopyHero records delivery attempts for eligible events sent to the configured endpoint.

## If something goes wrong [#if-something-goes-wrong]

Check the endpoint, event selection, filters, and delivery details. Fix the receiver before retrying; never paste secrets into notes or public URLs.

If deliveries fail although your receiver works, check that its address is public and that it does not redirect. Support can look up a delivery refused because of its address by the error code `blocked_target`.
